Fund 1 (Game, AI, Meme, Ecosystem), the fund is to incubate potential or even ongoing projects anchored on gaming, artificial intelligence and social media content creators on HyperGrid.

Sonic Token Reaches Milestone
Chris Zhu, Sonic’s founder and CEO, spoke about the role of AI agents in gaming, social media, and beyond. As agent creation and interaction become more complex their social impact is proportional with their economic utility Zhu mentioned Sonic as the key player in this field.
“This fund represents our commitment to backing visionary teams who are building the future of interactive entertainment, leveraging AI and social platforms in novel ways.”
The fund’s first investment went to Gomble Games, the Web2 to Web3 gaming protocol that is a part of Binance Labs and Animoca Brands. Launched since 2009, Gomble Games crossed over 110 million users in 230 games which attested the company as the most downloaded mobile application in South Korea in 2023.
This announcement came alongside Sonic SVM’s (SONIC) token generation event on the 7th of January, where the token attained a $365 million market cap, within the first 24 hours, as ranked by CoinMarketCap.
“We can see the future of AI creating massive forms of interfaces for humans to interact with the digital and real world. Sonic is focused on helping teams build towards infinite, asset-driven gaming experiences powered by AI.”
Experts have predicted that the year will be very lucrative for both AI cryptocurrencies and autonomous SHAs. Technologies that can be envisioned are multimodal AI agents which work across platforms, for example, X and TikTok. The buzz was initiated after an AI agent known as Luna that operates within Virtuals Protocol was able to complete a blockchain transaction independently.
Emerging trends such as decentralized AI agents and tokenized assets present opportunities by 2025 according to the COO and co-founder of Bitget Wallet Alvin Kan with some risks.
Although the G.A.M.E. Fund 1 really places the structure of Sonic as the midpoint between Web2 and Web3 gaming, which makes Sonic an excellent AI and blockchain competitor.
